So, everytime I hear this term, it brings back such fond memories. Specifically, one night in Barrie, Ontario (of all places) where a chance encounter with a heavily inebriated local prior to a gig resulted in the bestowing of the moniker "music man" on my beloved drummer, Rob. Man, I miss that guy!

Crossroads: Summer's almost halfway done and I've yet to begin writing. YIKES!!! Although I have come to the decision that I will accept the loan and credit card my bank is offering in order to quit this damn summer courier job that's simply draining me completely and getting me nowhere fast. On the bright side, September's just around the corner, a year away from academe might not be so bad, and I SHOULD be able to land a teaching gig somewhere, n'est-ce pas?

Self-promotion: The conference was fabulous. The paper was actually read and received very well. And I was even lucky enough to get some minor, albeit national, publicity.
